Service
Limited Company Accounts & Corporation Tax
Running a limited company means two sets of filings, two deadlines and a director who is personally responsible for both. We prepare your statutory accounts, file your corporation tax return, handle Companies House, and make sure you are taking money out of the company in a way that makes sense.
What the fee covers
Included as standard
Statutory year-end accounts
Prepared to the format required by the Companies Act and filed at Companies House, with the full version for you and the abridged version on the public record where that is available to you.
Corporation tax return (CT600)
Computed from the accounts, filed with HMRC, with the payment deadline flagged — it falls before the filing deadline, which catches people out.
Confirmation statement
Your annual confirmation statement prepared and filed, with the register of members and PSC details kept in order.
Salary and dividend planning
A yearly look at the split between salary and dividends across your personal position and the company's, so you are not paying more tax than the structure requires.
Director's loan account tracked
Watched through the year rather than discovered at year-end, when an overdrawn account has already triggered a s455 charge.
Common questions
Questions we get asked about this
What are my company's actual deadlines?
Accounts are due at Companies House nine months after your year-end. Corporation tax is payable nine months and one day after year-end, and the CT600 is due twelve months after. The tax is therefore due before the return that calculates it.
Is a limited company better than being a sole trader?
Sometimes, and it depends on your profit level, whether you need to draw everything out, and how much administration you are willing to carry. We will give you a straight answer for your numbers rather than a general rule.
My company is dormant — do I still need you?
You still owe dormant accounts and a confirmation statement. It is a small job and we price it as one.
Can you take over mid-year?
Yes. We request professional clearance and your records from your current accountant, so you do not have to have an awkward conversation or chase anyone.
